Not every family photo session is perfect, sometimes someone is super shy and doesn't want to look at the camera. The little girl didn't want to smile, so I redirected her and had her look at her mommy and lots of snuggles and hugs. And we can't forget about grandma! Having a session with grandma, her grandkids and her daughter.

I sounded like a broken record during this session...cute, so cute, cute! All the snuggles and laughing really made this session special with these two sweethearts who were just weeks away from saying "I do."
Capturing memories should happen in all chapters of everyone's lives, from young to old. I just loved this session. It was so beautiful and I loved capturing these tender moments. We stayed close to the parking lot to make things easier, and you can't even tell that we weren't deep in the woods along a path.
Everyone remembers the family photos, but what about all the girls of three generations photo shoot?!?! It was a gorgeous October day for their mini fall session out in Salem, Oregon with early fall color. It was a short and sweet session and there were so many great memories captured that it was hard for me to narrow it down to just a couple for this sneak peek.
Micky and Nathan's wedding day was modern, so unique, and memorable! Their short and wonderful ceremony was at Salem's Riverfront Carousel overlooking Riverfront Park on a beautiful sunny October morning. I loved the twist of Micky's navy jumper with fabulously sparkly boots and the added flair Nathan's top hat and cane. Directly after their "I do's," they went on their first Carousel ride as husband and wife. They were full of laughter and hand holding as their family joined in on the second round of hand carved and painted horses under the canopy of colorful ribbons. And if you thought the carousel was the really special part, just wait until you see all the details that went into the reception. You have to check out the guest book, cake, and tasty drinks created by Divine Distillers!
I love photographing weddings, but photography sessions with horses will always hold a special place in my heart! And I do love it when dogs join in on the fun. This session had all that, plus a goat! It was such a beautiful Willamette Valley evening and we had a grand time exploring the property, from the harvested oat fields, the back woods and creek, to the little stump behind their home.
