I've been dying to do a family session at a Christmas tree farm and I finally had the chance last weekend! These are just a couple of my favorites from matching Carhartt beanies to mega candy canes and we can't forget the family dog! And fun fact, this little family was one of the first I photographed when I started photographing paying clients in 2016 and I was so excited to capture all of them. And I saved the best photo for last, so make sure you checkout all the photos! And why is it the best photo? Because big brother came up with the idea all by himself!
I'm already thinking ahead for net year and a Mini Session Day (like I did for my Fall Mini Session Day) at a Christmas Tree farm in the Salem area is on my list!

Autumn colors came a little later than usual and they left in a hurry this year, but we were able to find some for this sweet little family photo session! We met up at a dog park in Lake Oswego, Oregon for this family of four (soon to be five!) family session. We found some beautiful golden leaves still clinging to trees and of course the classic evergreen trees.
I loved this session from the little baby bump to the pups with their plaid bandanas, and I hope you enjoy all of the photos! Bring on all of the family photo sessions just in time to include the photographs on your Christmas cards! When I learned that the father had been working hard at splitting and stacking wood, I just knew that we had to have family photos in front of it (super cute and rustic!). And of course, we had to include the puppers of the family. I bet their neighbors probably think that they had gone crazy with all the sounds I was making to get the dogs attention for the photos. hahaha. Plus, the front of their house is super cute, so a couple family photos had to be taken in front of it. There's more places than you think that you could have family photos taken at on your property, sometimes you just need another set of eyes to find some places.
I grew up in the country and if you want photos taken at a fam near and dear to your heart, then I'm your gal!
This family wanted a short session at their favorite family farm and it was perfect weather for "driving" a tractor, climbing on hay bales, and being "out-standing" in a field (hehehe). I love these short sessions for families with kids so that we can keep spirits high and bring out the smiles for the little ones. I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek from this family session. Sunshine and smiles always make family photos amazing! The sun came out for this family's Fall Mini Session with golden cottonwoods in the background and there were just so many photos that I loved from this session and it made it difficult for me to narrow it down to these for my favorites. I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek!
With distance learning, there's no going to school, so that means no one really knows about school photos. One family took advantage of my Fall Mini Session day for photos for their two youngest. This little stand of maple, cottonwood, and pine was the perfect backdrop at Minto Brown Island Park on a sunny afternoon. It was difficult for me to choose just a couple from their session. Here are my favorite ones to share with you!
