Nowadays, cell phones can take great photos, so people may want to have their friends take photos of them with their mobile telephones. But there’s a lot more than just snapping an image. One of the major perks of hiring a photographer is that they know how to pose you. Sure, all the ladies can just have your hands on your hips for all your photos, but looking at picture after picture with hands on their hips can get a little redundant. But this pose does have it's place, especially with a little variation. There's so many more options for posing and there's a flow that you can direct your models/clients through. Just have them do a couple things at a time and make sure to move your feet to capture different angles. Never stand in just one spot while taking photos, unless there's no where else for you to stand.

Two cuties enjoying the great outdoors in the beautiful season of autumn, what's not to love? I had the enjoyment of capturing Marie and Kyle's unending smiles while exploring Silver Falls State Park and part of Salem for their engagement session.
Traveling out to Silver Falls, was nothing but thick fog, but as we entered the park, the fog lifted and the golden leaves sparkled along the road and waterfalls. We started at North Falls, explored a bit, and then went to the South Falls where the sun rays were streaming through the mist creating pure magic. Here are some of my favorites of our mini autumn adventure. If you would like to see the entire image, click on the photo to enlarge. Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting two of the cutest lovebirds, Kirsten and Dillon.
The forecast called for rain, but that didn't slow down these outdoor lovers. We met at the lovely greenhouse next to the Bush House Museum. A couple minutes after we arrived, the clouds broke up and some blue sky made an appearance. Meandering through the greenhouse and the heritage rose garden with the gazebo was full of laughter, snuggles, and kisses. I can't wait to capture all the joy and love on their wedding day. |
