It was the day before Whitney and Brian's wedding when I had an incoming call from Whitney. She was calling to tell me that their wedding venue had just closed for two weeks. It was heartbreaking, but they had a back up plan! As I was making my way to the Oregon Coast, at the final bend, a thick marine layer was in sight. The heavy fog really made this wedding a day to remember.

Ceci and Corey tied the knot over the weekend and it was such a beautiful day for the wedding for two wonderful people! The venue was out in Pleasant Hill, which is a short drive from Eugene, and it has a special place in Ceci and Corey's hearts because it's where they pick out their Christmas trees and pumpkins for Halloween. I hope you enjoy scrolling through this sneak peek, because I can't help but smile when I see all these photos of joy and celebration.
Rustic backyard weddings are one of my favorites, especially ones with lots of sentimental details, and this wedding was full of them! McKenzie and Nick were married on a warm afternoon at a friend's property that was so perfect for this rustic backyard wedding. The weekend before their wedding was a record breaking heatwave and it had cooled from 120 degrees F to a balmy 91 degrees with a wonderful breeze near Salem, Oregon.
Dripping trees from fresh rain, sunflowers and dahlias, and loved ones in a backyard garden was the setting of the ceremony of Abby and Max saying "I do." "At last," was what everyone was thinking on their wedding day, because this was the third date. Coronavirus made them change their original date and plans and the two weeks ago, the smoke from all the fires was too much and too hazardous for an outdoor, backyard wedding. The rain held off during their ceremony and only picked up when everyone was safe under shelter. It was a true Oregonian wedding with the smells of fresh rain and earth. I hope you enjoy all of my favorites of their wedding day and especially scroll to the bottom, because there is a little surprise!
They say the third time is the charm, and in a way it's true for this wedding. Kassandra and Josh had their wedding plan last year and then replanned as a destination wedding to Hawaii. Then Coronavirus happened and all traveling went out the window. This backyard wedding in the small community of Siletz, Oregon was the third time they planned their wedding and I might be a little biased to say that it was beautiful. They said vows under a flowered arch overlooking the Siletz River with their close family and friends witnessing all the laughs and tears. Kassandra started her vows not to her groom, but to Josh's daughters, telling them how much they mean to her and how she is going to enjoy being part of their family. As you take a look at the first photo of their kiss, take a peek to the left and you can see part of the youngest daughter's reaction and it's priceless!
Congratulations to Alex and Matt! Their original wedding date was June 6, but with COVID-19, they postponed it to August 1. Their day was full of laughter, hugs, and love. This little sneak peek is full of all the highlights of the day from first look with dad, with lots of happy tears. Alex and Matt had a private first look and handwritten vows followed by all the formal photos and some fun ones. The ceremony was picture perfect with so many amazing words from their priest, he truly knew the couple! The toasts was open mic and there were lots of laughs with all the stories. Even the shoe game was full of funny twists. Plus, the dancing was pretty amazing with all the lights and glow sticks. It was an amazing day for these two to be married!
