Ceci and Corey tied the knot over the weekend and it was such a beautiful day for the wedding for two wonderful people! The venue was out in Pleasant Hill, which is a short drive from Eugene, and it has a special place in Ceci and Corey's hearts because it's where they pick out their Christmas trees and pumpkins for Halloween. I hope you enjoy scrolling through this sneak peek, because I can't help but smile when I see all these photos of joy and celebration.

Rustic backyard weddings are one of my favorites, especially ones with lots of sentimental details, and this wedding was full of them! McKenzie and Nick were married on a warm afternoon at a friend's property that was so perfect for this rustic backyard wedding. The weekend before their wedding was a record breaking heatwave and it had cooled from 120 degrees F to a balmy 91 degrees with a wonderful breeze near Salem, Oregon.
Some of my favorite photography sessions is when we go for a walk and have fun taking photos along the way. And that's exactly what happened for this family and senior session. This family of three drove from Happy Valley down to Salem to meet me at Minto Brown Island Park on a Saturday evening and we had the best time laughing at jokes, goofing off, and exploring some trails. I really do think telling my (horribly funny) dad jokes and just chatting can really bring out genuine smiles, and of course having fun along the way might help a little bit, too.
I hope you enjoy this family photo session, celebrating their high school senior before she moves to Arizona to attend college. It's always a great idea to take family photos before anyone moves away for school, even if they will be home in the summers. I love sessions with horses. I love sessions with dogs. I love sessions with newborns. This family session had everything that I love! There's always challenges to some degree, be it the weather or lack of naps, I just always go with the flow. The first photo is one that I stitched together from two images to create one family photo of everyone (mostly) looking. When I need to, I will do some face swapping to really create a great photo. But some of the best photos are the ones where no one is looking at the camera, instead, they are looking at each other, laughing, and making memories. I really pride myself in helping my clients prepare for their sessions. I made sure to share with them all of the posts I've created about preparing for a dog, horse, and newborn sessions.
I hope you enjoy seeing the sneak peek from this session. Little Charlotte was exactly one week old and her big sister was two and a half. It was my pleasure to capture this sweet family! Congratulations, you're a mom or dad to a tiny human and they'll never be this tiny again. It's hard to imagine how quickly they grow and photographs of your wee babe will be treasured and saved to be shared at all the family functions, especially for their wedding! *wink, wink* This blog post is to help prepare you for your little one's time in the spotlight. I hope you find some helpful tips that will reassure and calm you before your baby's photo session.
Visiting the Oregon Coast can be a bit unpredictable, even more so when you have an engagement session planned. We had nearly perfect (minus the wind) weather for Whitney and Brian's engagement session! One thing that I really love is traditions and history, especially when you incorporate that into your photo sessions. Whitney and Brian are both Native American and they brought along necklaces that their children created in traditional Siletz tribe arrangements. I included these special pieces of regalia in with the ring shots at the very end of this post. I think that this made their engagement ring photo unique and special.
