This year I’ve been working on the wording and some illustrations to create an ebook about watercolor techniques, tricks, and tips. My goal is to have my ebook available by this summer, but I’ve been told that goals are cute. We’ll see about that though. 😉 in the mean time, here’s a little illustration of some watercolor brushes, which were all painted with my handy liner brush. Meet Gotland sheep, Tsunami. Her wool coat make many knitters happy once her wool is harvested for yarn. This is actually my first portrait of a sheep and it was a special treat using watercolors to depict her soft, wool, tendrils, and adding a turquoise scarf made her so much cuter. What do you think of my little Gotland Girl? Leave a comment of what you think!  Here’s another day of festive fun, this time with a señor aboard his mighty steed. Tail swishing as they dance to imaginary music. Sombrero shading the hot sun and gold thread embroidery adding some sparkle to the outfit.  Have you ever watched a parade and the highlight is the group of Mexican dancing horses? Señors and señoritas show off their mount’s quick steps while side stepping down the street. There’s more than just the horse’s quick feet, it’s also the elaborate and festive outfits, and that’s what I wanted to capture in today’s little watercolor.  I’d like to share a little Lab Love. These two are Maggie and Boone. They were best friends, be it at home, on the family boat, or hanging out with just each other. Sadly, they are both gone now, but I hope my watercolor of them will help their memory live on. 💛  Meet Oscar. He had a happy life being loved by his family. Oscar is gone now, but I hope he may live on in this little painting of him.  |
