Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting two of the cutest lovebirds, Kirsten and Dillon.
The forecast called for rain, but that didn't slow down these outdoor lovers. We met at the lovely greenhouse next to the Bush House Museum. A couple minutes after we arrived, the clouds broke up and some blue sky made an appearance. Meandering through the greenhouse and the heritage rose garden with the gazebo was full of laughter, snuggles, and kisses. I can't wait to capture all the joy and love on their wedding day.

Last year was my first time to the Pendleton Round Up and I had fun taking photos from the stands. One of the photos I took, I entered it (and a couple others) in the Let'er Buck Photo Contest. The super exciting part is that the one photo won the contest! So, this year I got to attend the rodeo and Happy Canyon with my husband, John. It was John's first time to the Round Up and for my second time I got to have media credentials, which meant I got to go to a platform right next to the chutes! I hope you enjoy the moments of excitement I captured. There was saddle bronc riding, Indian relay races, bull riding, barrel racing, and wild cow milking, plus the Native American dancing in the park area. Have you been wanting to learn more about horses so that you can draw them more realistically? Have you been wanting to learn how to paint in watercolor? Well, if so, you're in luck! This fall I'm teaching Drawing Horses 101 and starting my series of Watercolors Made Easy classes. The classes will be held in Keizer and Newberg, Oregon, but if you are interested in taking private classes or hosting a Watercolors Made Easy party class, please let me know! Here is my class schedule and you can stay up to date by subscribing to my newsletter.
Drawing Horses 101 Fridays, starting October 20 from 9 am - 12 pm at Keizer Art Association 6 classes for $150 Watercolors Made Easy: Red Fox Friday, November 10 from 6 pm - 9 pm at Anvil Academy All supplies included for $75 Watercolors Made Easy: Red Barn in Snow Friday, December 8 from 6 pm - 9 pm at Anvil Academy All supplies included for $75 If you know someone who would might be interested in taking a class, please share this with them! At the Oregon State Fair this year there was an acrobatic equestrian performance (twice a day almost everyday!). It was Cirque Ma'Ceo. Of course I took my camera and trusty 85mm to capture the action and grace. It was such as treat to watch them perform and the trust between the performers and horses showed as true partnerships.
