Autumn colors came a little later than usual and they left in a hurry this year, but we were able to find some for this sweet little family photo session! We met up at a dog park in Lake Oswego, Oregon for this family of four (soon to be five!) family session. We found some beautiful golden leaves still clinging to trees and of course the classic evergreen trees.
I loved this session from the little baby bump to the pups with their plaid bandanas, and I hope you enjoy all of the photos!

Bring on all of the family photo sessions just in time to include the photographs on your Christmas cards! When I learned that the father had been working hard at splitting and stacking wood, I just knew that we had to have family photos in front of it (super cute and rustic!). And of course, we had to include the puppers of the family. I bet their neighbors probably think that they had gone crazy with all the sounds I was making to get the dogs attention for the photos. hahaha. Plus, the front of their house is super cute, so a couple family photos had to be taken in front of it. There's more places than you think that you could have family photos taken at on your property, sometimes you just need another set of eyes to find some places.
This weekend was a little rainy with some patches of sunshine. I'd have to say that it was almost perfect weather for some senior photos (minus the wind and precipitation)! I had the pleasure to capture a senior session for twins and I'd have to say that I pulled out all the stops with my punny dad jokes for double the fun, aka eye rolling at my dry sense of humor. Yes, you've been warned that I've got the bad jokes and I will use them and sometimes they do work for bringing out smiles.
We spent an afternoon exploring the fall colors, searching for skipping stones, and hanging out under and on a bridge over at Wallace Marine Park on the west side of the Willamette River. Then we ventured over to the Salem Riverfront Park area for a quick family photo and of course hitting downtown Salem for some classic urban shots. I'd have to say that we found some cool spots with old brick, faded painted advertisements on walls, and some new black brick, which all made unique backdrops. And if you bring a dog to your photo session, I WILL take photos of the pupper! ;-) |
