Yes, when I was growing up, "#" was called a "pound sign" or someone would use it in front of your phone number. Now, it's known as a "hashtag." But what's a hashtag? It's now used as a device to widen the social media database for more people to see something else related to what you're looking at. For instance, Instagram or Facebook. This is a prime example when to use hashtags, this is how you will be able to get more exposure for your images/posts. But how do you hashtag? Hashtags can be more than one word, but there can't be any spaces. If there are spaces, then it just won't work. Here's a little example, I have a hashtag I created: #WesternRoseStudios

Here is part two of Jenna's Senior Photo Session (see part one here). It was the perfect Oregon day, overcast. Clouds filtering the bright sunshine actually is very flattering and you don't have to worry about squinting eyes! But back to Jenna and our time on the Oregon State University Campus in Corvallis. We started at Furman Hall and ended up at Gill Coliseum, while stopping at Langton Hall and other scenic places along the way.
Nowadays, cell phones can take great photos, so people may want to have their friends take photos of them with their mobile telephones. But there’s a lot more than just snapping an image. One of the major perks of hiring a photographer is that they know how to pose you. Sure, all the ladies can just have your hands on your hips for all your photos, but looking at picture after picture with hands on their hips can get a little redundant. But this pose does have it's place, especially with a little variation. There's so many more options for posing and there's a flow that you can direct your models/clients through. Just have them do a couple things at a time and make sure to move your feet to capture different angles. Never stand in just one spot while taking photos, unless there's no where else for you to stand.
Today I had a splendid afternoon meeting some wooly sheep and spunky sheep dogs, plus an elusive barn cat. Until now, the closest that I've ever been to working sheepdogs was when I watched the movie "Babe" when I was growing up. Do you remember that movie? If not, let me ring a bell ... it's the one about the pig that was raised by a sheepdog and then went on to herd sheep. Baa ram ewe ...
Today we took a little detour home from The Dalles. But first, why were we in The Dalles? Two words: Mother's Day. My mom wanted all of her kids to come to one place (even if we weren't all there at the same time). So we had a mini stay at the R & R Guest House for a night and if you're looking for a house to rent or a B&B in The Dalles, this is the place. Back to the Deschutes River... John was dying to fish and we went to a new to us section of the river that was kinda on the way home (where we went).
