Today I had a splendid afternoon meeting some wooly sheep and spunky sheep dogs, plus an elusive barn cat. Until now, the closest that I've ever been to working sheepdogs was when I watched the movie "Babe" when I was growing up. Do you remember that movie? If not, let me ring a bell ... it's the one about the pig that was raised by a sheepdog and then went on to herd sheep. Baa ram ewe ... Here are a couple fun photos from my visit today. The dogs definitely wanted to show off for me. It's like they knew their pictures were being taken. Some of the ladies pictured are Sissy, Josie, and Bella. Border Collies are working dogs and they sure do love their jobs and the partnership between handler and dog was pretty special to witness! I'm excited that this won't be the last time I'll go and visit these girls. And coming up next is possibly some pieces of artwork based on my new adventures with sheep and sheepdogs.
