Yesterday as I was driving up to Corbett, there were dark clouds and thunder rolling through the hills. But as we were preparing for the ceremony, the clouds parted, blue sky appeared, and the sun shined as Rae and Cole said I do under the trees. I'm excited to show you the highlights from their wedding day, from the sunflowers to the s'mores, the rings to the fire pit, and sun flares to sparklers.

In the back of my mind, I knew this was going to happen. Everything was about to change and I couldn't be more excited about it! But first, let's do a little rewind for a moment... It's been nearly a year since we found out that I was pregnant for the third time. The first two were miscarriages and we decided to wait until the second trimester before telling the exciting news to our families and friends, because we couldn't bear the thought of explaining again why we didn't have a little one in tow.
Raise your hand if you love autumn ... *me raising both my hands* I love this weather and the fact that I can wear cozy sweaters and eat all the comfort food. Plus, I love the fields of gold that I can take photos in, along with golden leaves and fluffy pine trees. In a couple months I'll be offer a day of mini sessions with a variety of packages for all budgets. Here it is >> NOVEMBER MINI SESSIONS << ... just imagine that you can have you Christmas card family photo and not worry about it?!?! Keep on reading to see more images I took just the other day at a park in the middle of Salem!
They say ... don't forget where you've come from. Well, next month I'll be going back to my hometown to teach a Watercolor Made Easy class on Silver Falls in Autumn. If you're a local to Junction City, Oregon, I'd love for you to join me for this class at Max Porter's Coffeehouse in downtown on Saturday, October 19 at 5:00 pm.
When I was first teaching myself photography five years ago, I knew that I would want to take quality, if not amazing, photos of my future children. Now that I've had my first little one, I'v been snapping away with my iPhone almost everyday, but I still make the time to take photos with my professional camera equipment. And sometimes, I talk my hubby into taking a couple photos once I set everything up. These two photos were taken while we were still in the hospital with our little girl. And as she reached one month, two months, and three months, I knew that I wanted to capture those times with my DSLR and prime lens.
This morning I headed out to Wallace Marine Park in West Salem for a Senior Session with Ethan. We got to explore the gravel bar just north of the old Union Railroad Bridge, which is now a footpath bridge. I pulled out all of my puny jokes so that Ethan would crack a smile, but for over half of them he was shaking his head because they were so bad! Hahaha!
