There's a day that many girls dream of, their wedding day. Jennifer knows everything about Disney princesses and she had a beautiful princess wedding. It was a small gathering of family and friends for an outdoor ceremony and reception in a garden setting.
After the "I do's" Jennifer and Das had the opportunity to step inside the historic house at Deepwood Estates for a couple photographs. The house was full of vintage furniture, stained glass windows, and Persian rugs. It was truly a setting fit for a princess.

Somedays you just need a happy dog to lift your spirits.
Meet, Daisy.
Miss Daisy is a Great Pyrenees, who is just over a year old. She's a sweetheart, with the most beautiful golden eyes. Classic Great Pyrenees are big, white, and fluffy, but Daisy has splashes of black, which I think make her look even cuter.
My husband's family has a tradition which takes place in Washington at the base of Mount Adams. It is picking huckleberries. Every season they converge on the Sawtooth Berry Fields. The past couple years the little berries haven't had the best growing conditions, so the picking has been slim. But this year, the bushes were packed with flavorful, purple berries.
This August I created a watercolor from this photo I took last year of a new little Drum Horse filly. This little girl is Freyja Maria and her mamma, Derby, out at HyTyme Drum Horses Enterprises. This photo may all be white and brown with a hint of pink, but when you're painting, you can always add more color.
What did you do or will you do for your one year wedding anniversary? Many couples will go out to a fancy dinner to celebrate the union of their love, or even do a weekend getaway. And if you do gifts, the traditional present is paper, and the more modern selection is a clock (why? don't ask me, this is what Google has said it is). I have created special commissioned watercolor paintings for first wedding anniversary presents, bit this is the first time I had the pleasure of photographing the couple in this part of their journey of husband and wife. Llesenia and Eron met me at the beautiful grounds of Deepwood Estates on a semi-cool evening (remember in Oregon it has been hot lately), so it was quite refreshing. Llesenia even showed off her crafty side by creating a (very Pinterest worthy) wooden sign to use during their session. The wooden heart sign wasn't the only special item she brought; she brought along her wedding shoes!
It’s summer in Oregon and it’s been hot. But that doesn’t hold back lovebirds from getting cute photos for their save the dates, especially when family will be traveling to celebrate their big day with them.
Eventhough is was 93° out, Laura and Kevin’s smiles where only interrupted with kisses. We started our evening at the Broadway Bridge in Portland.
I loved the color of the bridge and even with the heat, Laura and Kevin decided to go with jeans and rolled up long sleeves for their casual look, which is truely their style. And you can’t forget to help your lady down what seemed to be 500 stairs in the heat.
