This maternity session was part of my Spring Mini Session day this year and I was so happy to be capturing this chapter in her life! She told me that their will be her fourth boy and with all of her other pregnancies, she didn't have any professional photos taken. I knew I wanted to make her feel like a goddess out in a field of flowers.  I'm quickly loving maternity sessions, they are a special stage of motherhood and if a mom wants to capture this chapter of their journey, I'm always excited to make it special for her.

Talk about a beautiful spring Oregon day! It was absolutely amazing with fresh cut grass, warm sunshine, and fluffy cherry blossoms at the foot of Salem Capitol Building. This was one of my mini photography packages and even though it was a shorter amount of time, it was perfect for a mother and daughter photo session. And this session was extra special, these will be the last photos of just the two of them, because another little one is coming along this summer!  It was my first time photographing anyone during the spring bloom of cherry trees and it's easy to say that I'm hooked, because all of the photos turned out amazing! During this session, there was lots of admiring all the pretty flowers and even some running around to burn off extra energy, and you know what?!? Running around and spinning in circles make for great pictures for children! I hope you enjoy these photos and if you're thinking of having your photographs taken among these blooming cherry trees in Oregon's capital, I'd love to capture them for you!
The Oregon Coast's weather can be really unpredictable, especially in Spring. Sometimes you just got to pick a date, cross your fingers, and hold your breath for the weather to cooperate. And cooperate is an understatement for this maternity session! Last summer I had the honor to capture Kassandra and Josh's backyard wedding last summer. And now the two of them are expecting a little girl and I'm just thrilled for them!  Yesterday I traveled nearly 500 miles to capture once in a lifetime moments of sweet mama to be, Stevie, with her super sweet mare, Freckles. Stevie is nearly at the end of her journey of meeting her little girl at 34 weeks. During our session, the little girl even gave a few kicks. Maybe she's ready to come out and meet Freckles? At least she was where it was warm and cozy, because it was a very blustery day!  Freckles was a champ when it came to the wind and dresses fluttering in the steady gusts. Stevie's daughter is one lucky girl to have Freckles show her the ropes of being a little cowgirl.
