I don't get to he'd out to my hometown very often, but obviously I need to do it more often. I met up with Brittany and Alex down the road at Harrisburg and took full advantage of the beautiful colors along the Willamette Valley. We were under the threat of rain and decide to just go with it and I'm so glad we did because it totally paid off! And it feels like every time I do an engagement session, the ring shots are my new favorites and I really have to say that I think these ring shots are amazing and you'll need to look through all of these photos to see them.

Staying out until the sun is almost ready to set is tricky. Too dark and the photos can be a bit dark, but if you find a location that turns magical during the last moments of the day and I think the photos turn out amazing with a soft glow. Congratulations to these two who are planning their next chapter of marriage. I only was with them for a little bit, but they were just glowing and so excited and I'm so excited for them!
I sounded like a broken record during this session...cute, so cute, cute! All the snuggles and laughing really made this session special with these two sweethearts who were just weeks away from saying "I do."
Visiting the Oregon Coast can be a bit unpredictable, even more so when you have an engagement session planned. We had nearly perfect (minus the wind) weather for Whitney and Brian's engagement session! One thing that I really love is traditions and history, especially when you incorporate that into your photo sessions. Whitney and Brian are both Native American and they brought along necklaces that their children created in traditional Siletz tribe arrangements. I included these special pieces of regalia in with the ring shots at the very end of this post. I think that this made their engagement ring photo unique and special.
This past weekend I explored Silver Falls State Park with newly engaged couple, Joseph and Larysa! This mid-morning session in forested canyons, spring growth, and waterfalls was amazing. I definitely recommend waterfalls as a backdrop for any photo session. What you don't see in these photos are the small groups of hikers and slippery rocks that we navigated, and what you do see are just a couple of my favorite photographs from this Oregon engagement photo shoot. Oh, and spoiler alert: there are a couple of my favorite ring shots I've done to date in this session! I hope you enjoy seeing my favorites that I picked out to share!
It was a fantastic evening up at Baskett Slough for Ceci and Corey's engagement photo session. The smoke from the recent fires were long gone and we already had some rain. And thankfully, the sun came out for their session. Ceci and Corey brought their son, Oliver, and we all had the best time exploring the trail, pausing to smile, and enjoying all of the views. I hope you enjoy seeing these highlights from this session! I had so much fun capturing this family's happiness and I can't wait to capture all of their memories on their wedding day in 2021!
