Just imagine that you've been married for awhile, your dress is hanging in your closet (or maybe even in your parent's attic) and you loved or maybe wasn't completely satisfied with your wedding photos. Well, let me tell you about all the fun we could have with a Just Married Shoot, aka Bridal Session! One of my FAVORITE things to be apart of lately is this!

I couldn't have said it better than Michaela of Kayla Hurd Photography, so these are her exact words from a recent Instagram post of hers. How do you select your photographer?Price? Style? Personality? Convenience?
It doesn’t matter if it’s a wedding, family photos, boudoir or even headshots — every single one of those factors listed above should be considered and accepted before moving forward. Last weekend I had a day full of mini sessions and the weather was perfect! There's always a chance this late in the year in Oregon that it might be raining, but it was overcast most of the day. Everyone came to a little greenspace/park down the street from my home in Salem and I had a bunch of props that they could choose from which were an assortment of my own blankets and wooden crate to a bench, seat, and pillows from For the Love of Pete. This first photo is one of my little girl, Bridget. How can I not share this photo?!?!? She was also my test subject to make sure the lighting was right, plus she's now just getting the hang of sitting up by herself!
Without further ado, here are a few highlights from each session. I had a lot of families, some of just the kids, and one couple, plus Walter the Basset Hound. I hope you have as much fun looking at all the photos as I did taking them! This is my baby girl's first Halloween and of course we had to take photo photos of her with pumpkins!
Session in an indoor studio on a rainy Oregon day with a Christmas tree can really be so cozy and so much fun! I had a great time with these two and yes, those light spots are Christmas lights that I was holding (and I even received a small electrical shock, so I learned to be careful where I hang onto the light string!).
Autumn is here and winter is right behind it. I think that there's no better time than now than to have your family photos taken. If you didn't know, I love autumn and I love taking photos of families. This session had three generations of smiles! This is just a little sneak peek of the fun we had during their session.
