Yesterday as I was driving up to Corbett, there were dark clouds and thunder rolling through the hills. But as we were preparing for the ceremony, the clouds parted, blue sky appeared, and the sun shined as Rae and Cole said I do under the trees. I'm excited to show you the highlights from their wedding day, from the sunflowers to the s'mores, the rings to the fire pit, and sun flares to sparklers. There's so many details that go into a wedding, all the jewelry, veil, bow ties, and of course the shoes. When I'm able to capture the getting ready parts, I love the small moments ... mom doing her daughter's hair, friends tying shoes and bow ties, and of course hugs. Taylor Rae and Cole even had tasty fixings for s'mores for everyone. These were a special treat on a chilly September evening. Everyone enjoyed the warmth of the fire pit and propane heaters while roasting their marshmallows. All the food and desserts were great, especially since the mother of the bride made everything! Walking from her grandparent's house to the old fir tree along a straw path was so beautiful. Cole was waiting for his bride and he was nothing but smiles when he saw her walking with her father up the pathway with family and friends on either side. I just loved how her dad took the train of her dress in his hands so that it would stay clean until she was able to recite her vows. And the sun burst through the trees as they exchanged rings and then kissed for the first time as husband and wife. It's really the simple things that make a wedding wonderful and I thought this wedding was filled with love and was amazing! Congratulations you two!!!
