2nd Annual Drum Horse Artists Workshop

If you love horses and love to draw them, then I might have just the experience for you to enjoy!

Saturday, June 24 is the 2nd Annual Drum Horse Artists Workshop at HyTyme Enterprise Drum Horses & HyTyme Equine Rescue. There are still a dozen or so openings for you to join in the fun!

The day will be full of learning Equine anatomy, hands on opportunities to personally experience horses and donkeys. There will be a variety of equine models to sketch and photograph. I will be breaking down my process of sketching out horses - breaking them down into basic shapes and then refining my sketches to create an anotomically correct horse illustration. I will also be giving a watercolor demonstration of a pre-drawn horse; touching on how I use different watercolor techniques and color to portray an realistic painting.

This will be a five hour day outside with the horses. Be prepared for the weather and to have fun! This workshop will be rain or shine.

Plus, 40% of proceeds will go directly to the HyTyme Equine Rescue to help with buying food, pedicures (trimming hooves), and veterinary care. This not a watercolor specific workshop, you can work in any medium. There will be plenty of chances to photograph horses for studio work.
