Beat of His Drum | Day 4

This is Apollo. He’s a Drum Horse Stallion that I’ve met many times and have photographed and painted. I’ve had this particular photo of him that I’ve been dying to paint, but wanted it to be strong, graceful, carefree, and slightly whimsical. This month I just knew I had to paint Apollo as part of my 30 in 30 and that he’d be perfect for my sketchy style development. I really love how this one turned out.
