You might be wondering what a cowboy, horses, and a boarder collie all have in common over than working on a cattle ranch. Well, they are all part of the first (fine art) graphite pencil drawings that I’ve created in a long time. Let me introduce you to Freya Maria (small drawing of a Drum Horse filly), Bella (the border collie), and A Light Touch (cowboy and horse). First, A Light Touch, is an 11” x 14” drawing which is the first one of the trio that I created. I used many different pencils to create this drawing for a 4H to a 4B. All of these drawings are on my favorite paper, Stonehenge. Freya Maria is the one which used the softest pencil I own, 8B, for the background. I knew the mostly white filly needed a dark background to help her pop. As for Bella, she needed a lot of attention on her coat, especially all her black wavy fur.
If if you have a favorite or something you’d like to see me draw, please leave a comment!
