Staying out until the sun is almost ready to set is tricky. Too dark and the photos can be a bit dark, but if you find a location that turns magical during the last moments of the day and I think the photos turn out amazing with a soft glow. Congratulations to these two who are planning their next chapter of marriage. I only was with them for a little bit, but they were just glowing and so excited and I'm so excited for them!

This family was just too cute! Siblings will be siblings of course, but we had some fun with it (along with a reward at the end for good behavior - I do that too with my toddler!). Some attention spans were wavering at the end, but it was quickly revived with some hand holding walking and fake laughing, and we can't forget about a fun tickle party to end the session on a good note!
Bring on the fall color and smiles for family photos! We had some fun joking around during this family session; guess which photo we had the most fun with! I'm always grateful to document for families the different stages. Their sons are young, but someday they'll be in high school and growing up way to fast, and maybe a little too serious to do funny photos with their parents. But for now, keeping it fun is the way to go!
I can be a big ham during photo sessions and I absolutely love it when my clients ham it up as well! These two were so fun to photograph on that wonderful October day in Salem at Minto-Brown Island Park! I hope you enjoy this fun little sneak peek from their session and I'll let you guess which photo I suggested popping a foot up. Haha!
The weather was wonderful for this Salem family photo session at Minto-Brown Island Park on an October day. Documenting your family growing from babies to teenagers is important and I'm so glad that this family came out for a mini session, because it's cliche, but they grow up so fast!
This was just a sweet little family session. It's always fun to work in some dandelion flowers and blow the wishes to bring smiles. And we can't forget about all the other treasures we can find outside, like dried leaves. Plus, snuggles with mom are always a win!
